H is for… Haiku

Posted on 9th July 2010 in haiku/ poetry

feelings wait unchanged

lives rush, oblivious how

hearts stop, until now

sleek, black, handsome cat

sits, waits, aloof yet alone

until I come home

time, shifts, waits for none

minutes rush, running past fast

laughing who was last

numbing, yet, lifting

soothingly warmth rushes in

hello there to gin

deeply cut, feel none

life ebbs, tide washes me clean

yet I feel no one

new words, unspoken

virgin pages now broken

new book I love thee
