Do you have a favourite modern day artist?

Mine is without doubt Matthew Daniels – particularly his New York work.

Here are some of my favourites:

I love the muted colours on these ones, and having stood in a lot of the vantage points that he uses, I also love the accuracy.

I love that he doesn’t always take the obvious perspective on a subject.

The ones with the brighter colours, I’m not sure I would actually ¬†want on my walls – but I still think they are brilliant!

    I recognise most, if not all, of these: but I hadn’t associated them, or even that style, with any 1 particular artist. I can see why you like him, & NY: it’s like no place on Earth, right?

    My fave modern artist would probably be 1 of Hopper, Hockney or MC Escher. They all messed about with perspective & perception: but in quite different ways
