Can I Dig Up My Potatoes? #WordlessWednesday
Can I dig these up yet?
Now that DS2 is a veggie I need reinforcements….
I’m referring to the potato plants if you can distinguish them in that sea of green – they’ve had flowers which got blown away in the mad wind and rain the other day.
Moving on from potatoes….should I give up on these tomatoes or will they still ripen?
In better news, at least my strawberries are doing what they are supposed to be doing!
So – the spuds – how do I know when to dig ’em up?!

I guess they are main crop pots so 18 to 20 weeks after they were planted….guessing they were planted June so about now should be ok….you could always have a litttle peep to see whats happened…..
Our tomatoes always seemed to be ready late in the season. You might want to wait on them and see–at least for a little while longer.
Spuds usually dig up once the flowers die back – have a poke in the soil see if they look ready – if not cover them back up and leave a little longer.
The tomatoes may still go red – mine are still ripening 🙂
