Cakes I've made
The sharp eyed (or really bored) among you will have seen the smiley face from the ghosts before….. Corny had a very similar expression!
The only problem with my cakes is that although I can decorate them ok I’m not the best cake maker in the world! Look nice, need lots of cups of tea to get ’em down!
Should add at the end here, that if you want cakes you can actually eat….. go to www.thecakenest.co.uk
Wow. We’d make a great team then – I can make cakes taste nice but they look shit and you can make them look nice.
Brilliant. You must have lots of patience.
Not enough patience to follow a recipe or mix it properly, lol, just quite arty farty so enjoy that type of thing.
Obviously, I have. I find following a recipe one of the easier things about cooking unless it’s explaining a concept that’s hard to grasp or get just right. I am a fan of “Bung It” cookery. 😉 I try to be precise for baking as that really helps, I find.
Wow you are a fab decorator
Fab. I think the mice are my favourites though. Shame you have a problem with the cake 😦 There are a couple of good recipe’s out there, like a boiled fruit cake and a great banana loaf recipe where it’s almost impossible to go wrong. Honestly!
I can make banana bread! Can’t stand fruit cake (bleurgh). I love a really good Madeira cake (saddo I know) but just can’t make them. Had a friend who made choc sponge cake like nothing on earth and despite following her recipes v carefully it just never came out the same for me. Think you either have ‘the touch’ or you don’t. And I don’t! lol xx
They look fab – my favourite has to be the ghosty one 🙂
I now reaaaally want cake. I love the ghosty one too!

Your cakes are fantastic. What wonderful skills to have. I like the Year 2 one and the little touches.
Don’t judge a book by its cover. Don’t judge a cake by its icing?
These look so good, can’t believe they don’t taste great!
Wow, very impressive 😉 @Kahanka
oh! bummer they are not so tastey but they ldo ook wonderful!!!
