We, at Jimmy’s Farm, are searching for talented and enthusiastic people to join our exciting team this September!

We are looking for confident, flexible, enthusiastic and reliable people who are looking to gain a range of skills and experiences from this varied and exciting opportunity as Events and Marketing Assistant.

Roles and Responsibilities include:

•   Working within a dynamic team to organise all events on the farm including monthly Farmers Markets, annual Sausage and Beer Festival, Christmas Faye, Half Term Halloween Spooktacular, Weddings, Corporate Events, Children’s Birthday Parties, Educational Visits etc
•   General event based work such as event planning, organising suppliers for events, organising traders to take part in our events, managing suppliers, managing timings for events, helping set up and take down, execution of events, managing a team of volunteers etc
•   General marketing duties such as putting together copy for newspaper adverts, creating content for web adverts, updating Jimmy’s Farm website, Facebook and Twitter pages on a daily basis, updating news items etc
•   Sending out the weekly newsletter
•   General office administration including answering calls and emails, organisation of weekly online orders etc

Candidate Specification:

•   Excellent organisational and communication skills
•   Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines
•   Ability to work well within a team
•   Be flexible in their working hours and approach
•   IT literate including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

The role is unpaid and will, at first, be for two to three days a week with the potential for extra regular paid work in our Restaurant, Farm Shop and Field Kitchen. The role is most suited to those who live within the Suffolk or Essex area and have a car to travel to and from work.
